Liette Philippe is an award-winning meeting planner with over 25 years of experience in the industry. She began her career with Youth Science Foundation and attended her first Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) in 1988. She remained in her role as the CWSF Travel & Event Coordinator until 1996, when she left to pursue her career as a Professional Meeting Planner. In 2001, she founded Liette P Meeting Planning Services, producing high-quality events and meetings across Canada and the US. Liette returned to YSC as the CWSF Travel Manager in 2001. She also served as the CWSF Manager for 8 years, responsible for coordinating all aspects of this complex event, including serving as co-chair of CWSF 2011 in Toronto for the event’s 50th anniversary. Liette’s event management expertise, commitment to quality, and dedication to the best possible participant experience have made an enormous contribution to the growth and success of the CWSF. Among many initiatives, she transformed the Awards Ceremony into a professional production and was instrumental in redesigning the exhibit hall. Liette has been a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Ottawa Chapter since 1997 and has served on various committees, including two-years on the Board of Directors. She was honoured by the MPI Ottawa Chapter with the 2003 Program of the Year award and 2004 Planner of the Year award. In 2012, Liette was presented with the YSC Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding contribution to the organization. Liette continues to serve as the CWSF Travel Manager, and in 2017 took on the role of CWSF STEM Expo Manager.
